Why Project Heirloom?
History is more than just dates and facts—it’s the voices and experiences of those who lived it. Project Heirloom ensures that the stories of Japanese Americans incarceration during World War II are not forgotten but passed down through generations, just like family heirlooms. By using interactive AI technology, we bring firsthand accounts to life, making history accessible, engaging, and deeply personal.
Through Project Heirloom, students, educators, and communities can connect with these stories in a way that fosters understanding, empathy, and meaningful conversations about civil rights, resilience, and justice.
